Sample Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Lisbon, Portugal
Arrive in Lisbon to pick up your rental car and start your tour. Depart to the Alentejo region where you will stay at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova , a famous hotel and wine estate, for the next three nights.
Day 2 – Explore Alentejo
Spend the day at the Herdade wine tasting along the estate, soaking in the lovely vistas from a hot-air balloon, taking a Moto-4 ride, horse-riding in the property, or more; we have an abundance of activities planned for you to choose from.
Day 3 – Alentejo Wine Tasting
Visit the Herdade dos Grous for a nice lunch and wine tasting at the property.
Spend the rest of the day with free time to enjoy Maldinha Nova.
Day 4 – Evora & Belmonte
Say good bye to Alentejo and begin touring the North of Portugal. Your next stop will be in Evora, where you will stay at Pousada de Belmonte for a night. Spend the night among the property or exploring the historic city.
Day 5 – Douro Valley Wine Tasting
Venture onwards to the Douro Valley, home of some of the world’s most fertile vineyards. Spend the day sampling over eight different types of exotic wines.
One night accomodation at Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo Hotel.
Day 6 – Romance in the Douro Valley
Have a romantic day among the grapes with a walk through the vineyards, a light, refreshing wine tasting, followed by a picnic among the property’s gardens.
Day 7 – Porto City Walk
Explore the extraordinary coastal city of Porto; tour various historic sites, soak in unforgettable seaside vistas, and sample some of the best gastronomy in Western Europe.
Spend the night at the prestigious Yeatman Wine Hotel, known for its ripe estate vineyards and generous accommodations.
Day 8 – Free Day in Porto
Take the “day off” from a busy itinerary to do as you please. You can relax at your leisure, continue touring Porto, or spend a day at the beach.
Afterwards, return to the Yeatman for a special wine tasting, an estate wine cellar tour, followed by a rejuvenating spa session Caudalie Vinothérapie hotel spa. End the day with a gourmet dinner paired with wine at the hotel’s award-winning restaurant.
Day 9 – Back Home
End your trip with a drive to the Porto airport, where you will drop your car off and make your way back home. This is truly a bittersweet moment, but rejoice in the memories made during your time in a beautiful country.
