Sample Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Lisbon, Portugal
Arrive in the beautiful capital city of Lisbon with private airport transfer and accommodations at one of Lisbon’s top hotels: Bairro Alto Hotel, Pestana Palace, Ritz Four Seasons, or Olissipo Lapa Palace.
Day 2 – Lisbon, Estoril Coast and Sintra
Morning sightseeing with a Local Guide features a drive through the Baixa quarter’s main squares.
Then visit Sintra, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for the great beauty of its nature and architecture, with fairy tale palaces and lush vegetation.
The Estoril Coast is known for its charm and aristocratic traditions. Discover white sandy beaches and magnificent fortresses from the 17th century.
Day 3 – Évora
Travel to Évora, a beautiful old town in the Alentejo region. Your guide will take you to Adega da Cartuxa with wine tasting accommodation for one night at Convento do Espinheiro.
Day 4 – North Portugal
Tour the North of Portugal, passing by historical villages such as Marvão, Castelo de Vide, and overnight at the village of Marialva. Accommodation for one night at Casas do Côro.
Day 5 – Douro Valley
Spend the morning to relax at Casas do Côro before departing to the Douro Valley. Visit a Douro winery and take a private cruise. Stay the night at the luxurious Six Senses Douro Valley.
Day 6 – Porto
After tasting the wine where it is made in the Douro River Valley, travel to the famous port houses and one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal, Porto. Stay for two nights at The Yeatman or at Intercontinental Palácio das Cardosas.
Day 7 – Minho
Visit the Ducal Palace and the Castle, and walk along the narrow streets of the historic center. Then visit the charming Ponte de Lima, the most ancient village in Portugal.
Day 8 – Coimbra and Óbidos
Travel back south and visit two amazing places, Coimbra and Óbidos. See ancient Roman ruins, visit the oldest university in Portugal, and the Baroque Library. Then travel to the loveliest medieval village in Portugal.
Spend the night at the magical Areias do Seixo.
Day 9 – Back to Lisbon
The trip ends with a private transfer back to the Lisbon airport.
